PREAMBLE

In RAMADHAN’s perspective, the Chapter Al-Qadr, with its latest academic/literary/logical translation, in the context of great Quranic goals, is presented upon insistent demand by friends.

Islamic Tradition holds it that the “Night of Virtues” occurs during one of the odd nights in the last 10 days of the Month

Ramadhan; and the act of worship performed during that night can fetch Salvation from the life-long sins and crimes, and the sinner gets cleansed and absolved.

Unfortunately, according to Quran’s precise testimony, the ‘Month of Ramadhan”, the “Fasting” during the month and the formula or short-cut of “Salvation within one night”, all are nothing but ill-logic and clear deception. Please call for the relevant literature and be free from the clutches of this big, old, sacred Scam crafted and planted by the Arab despotic un-Islamic regimes of the past into the original doctrine of Islam.

Chapter Al-Qadr does not emphasize importance of some particular NIGHT during the month of Ramadhan in which unconditional and indiscriminate blessings and forgiveness descend from the heavens for those who remain awake in worship. The entire concept is full of absurdity and based on nonsensical assumptions.

Chapter Al-Bayyinah (98)

لَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ ﴿١﴾ رَسُولٌ مِّنَ اللَّـهِ يَتْلُو صُحُفًا مُّطَهَّرَةً ﴿٢﴾فِيهَا كُتُبٌ قَيِّمَةٌ ﴿٣﴾ وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ إِلَّا مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ ﴿٤﴾ وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا اللَّـهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ حُنَفَاءَ وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ الْقَيِّمَةِ﴿٥﴾ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ أُولَـٰئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ الْبَرِيَّةِ ﴿٦﴾ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ أُولَـٰئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ ﴿٧﴾ جَزَاؤُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ۖ رَّضِيَ اللَّـهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِيَ رَبَّهُ﴿٨﴾

Transliteration: “Lum yakun-il-lazeena kafaroo min ahlil-Kitaabi wa al-Mushrikeena munfakkeena hatta ta’tiya-hum al-bayyinah(1). Rusoolum min-Allahi yatloo Suhufan mutahhiratun(2); fee-ha kutubun qayyimatun(3); Wa maa tafarraqa allazeena ootu al-Kitaba illaa min ba’adi maa jaa-at-hum al-bayyinata(4); wa maa umiroo illa li-ya’bud-ul-laah mukhliseena la-hu-addeena hunafaa’a wa yuqeemu as-salaata wa yu’too az-zakaat. Wa zaalika deen-ul-qayyima(5). Innal-lazeena kafaroo min ahl-al-Kitaabi wa almushrikeena fe naari jahannama khalideena fi-haa. Oolaaika hum sharr-ul-bariyyah(6). Innal-lazeena aamanu wa ‘amiloo as-saalihaati oolaaika hum khayir-ul-bariyyah(7). Jazaau-hum ‘inda Rabbihim jannaatun ‘adnin tajree min tahtihaa al-anhaaru khalideen fee-ha Abadan. Raziyal-laahu ‘un-hum wa razoo ‘un-hu. Zaalika li-mun khashiya Rabba-hu(8).”

Traditional Translation:

“Those who disbelieved – be they from the People of the Book or from those who associated others with Allah in His Divinity – will not desist from unbelief until the Clear Proof should come to them; a Messenger from Allah, reciting from Purified Scrolls; in writings wherein are scriptures, absolutely true and unerring. Nor did those to whom the Book had been given split up until after the Proof (of the Right Way) had come to them. Yet all that they had been commanded was that they serve Allah, with utter sincerity, devoting themselves exclusively to Him, and that they establish Prayer and pay Zakah. That is the Right Faith. Those who disbelieved – be they from among the People of the Book or among those who associated others with Allah in His Divinity– shall be in the Fire, and will abide in it. They are the worst of creatures. But those that believe and work righteous deeds, they are the best of creatures. Their recompense lies with their Lord: Gardens of eternity beneath which rivers flow; therein they shall dwell, forever and ever. Allah is well-pleased with them, and they are well-pleased with Him. All this is for him who fears his Lord.” (Modudi)

The latest Academic & Rational Translation:

98:1-8  “It would not be fair that the deniers of truth from the people of the Book and the polytheist community be allowed to go their own way (Munfakkeen – منفکّین) until the clear evidence of truth had come to them. So they were shown the evidence in the form of a Messenger from God who recited to them Scripture blest with purity, wherein there were everlasting laws and values (fee-haa Kutubun Qayyimatun – فیہا کُتُبُ قیّمۃ). But the people of the Book did adopt a different stance or split their ways (tafarraqa – تفرق) after the clear evidence had come to them; while they were not forced to do much except to obey the commandments of God in all sincerity with His Discipline, observing straightforwardness (hunafa’ –حنفا), and that they were to establish close pursuit of the Discipline and grant sustenance and nourishment to their people. This was to be the sustainable manifesto of their society’s conduct (Zaalika Deen-ul-Qayyimah – ذٰلک دین القیّمۃ). Needless to say that those who refused to abide by the Discipline, from the people of the Book or the polytheist communities are doomed to the hell-fire. They are the worst of creatures. And those who attained to faith and peace and performed reformative deeds for their people, they are the best of creatures. There reward is with their Sustainer in the form of everlasting gardens under which rivers are flowing. Therein they shall live forever, in a state where God satisfied with their performance, and they in love with Him. All this awaits them who have been cautious of their Sustainer’s guidance!”

Fa-Kaf-Kaf : ف ک ک : منفکین = open a thing, create a gap/breach/break, separate, set loose or free, let go, liberate, release, emancipate, to assist, dislocated/disjointed, aged/old/weak man.

سورة البينة:

روایتی ترجمہ

اہل کتاب اور مشرکین میں سے جو لوگ کافر تھے (وہ اپنے کفر سے) باز آنے والے نہ تھے جب تک کہ ان کے پاس دلیل روشن نہ آ جائے ۔ [یعنی] اللہ کی طرف سے ایک رسول جو پاک صحیفے پڑھ کر سنائے جن میں بالکل راست اور درست تحریریں لکھی ہوئی ہوں۔ پہلے جن لوگوں کو کتاب دی گئی تھی اُن میں تفرقہ برپا نہیں ہوا مگر اِس کے بعد کہ اُن کے پاس (راہ راست) کا بیان واضح آ چکا تھا۔ اور اُن کو اِس کے سوا کوئی علم نہیں دیا گیا تھا کہ اللہ کی بندگی کریں اپنے دین کو اُس کے لیے خالص کر کے، بالکل یکسو ہو کر۔ اور نماز قائم کریں اور زکوٰۃ دیں۔ یہی نہایت صحیح و درست دین ہے۔ اہل کتاب اور مشرکین میں سے جن لوگوں نے کفر کیا ہے وہ یقیناً جہنم کی آگ میں جائیں گے اور ہمیشہ اس میں رہیں گے۔ یہ لوگ بد ترین خلائق ہیں ۔ جو لوگ ایمان لے آئے اور جنہوں نے نیک عمل کیے، وہ یقیناً بہترین خلائق ہیں ۔ اُن کی جزا اُن کے رب کے ہاں دائمی قیام کی جنتیں ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں بہ رہی ہوں گی۔ وہ ان میں ہمیشہ ہمیشہ رہیں گے۔ اللہ ان سے راضی ہوا اور وہ اللہ سے راضی ہوئے۔ یہ کچھ 

ہے اُس شخص کے لیے جس نے اپنے رب کا خوف کیا ہو

"اہل کتاب اور مشرکین میں سے ان کے لیے جو حقیقت کو ماننے سے انکار کرتے ہیں [کفروا] یہ جائز نہ ہوتا کہ انہیں ان کے اپنے راستے پر چلنے کے لیے آزاد چھوڑ دیا جاتا [منفکین] بغیر اس کے کہ ان کے پاس واضح سچائی کی شہادت نہ آ جاتی [تاتیہم البینۃ]۔ پس یہ شہادت ان کے پاس ایک الہامی رسول کی شکل میں بھیج دی گئی جو انہیں ایسے صحائف پڑھ کر راہنمائی دیتا ہے [یتلو] جو پاک کلام پر مشتمل ہیں اور جن میں دائمی قائم رہنے والے سچے قوانین اور اقدار دی گئی ہیں [کُتُب قیمۃ] ۔ تاہم اہلِ کتاب نے پھر بھی تفرقے کا راستہ اختیار کر لیا اس کے باوجود کہ واضح شہادت ان کے سامنے آ چکی تھی؛ حالانکہ انہیں زیادہ کچھ کرنے کی ہدایت نہیں دی گئی تھی سوائے اس کے کہ اللہ کی فرمانبرداری کریں [یعبدوا اللہ]، اُس کے دیے ہوئے ضابطے کے ساتھ مخلص رہتے ہوئے [مخلصین لہ الدین] اور راست انداز اختیار کرتے ہوئے [حنفاء] ؛ اور یہ کہ وہ ضابطے کی پیروی کریں [یقیمو الصلوٰۃ] اور اپنے لوگوں کو سامانِ نشو و نما بلا معاوضہ مہیا کریں [وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ ]۔ ِہی معاشرے کے لیے ایک مضبوطی سے قائم رہنے والی روش یا طریقہِ کار تھا [وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ الْقَيِّمَةِ]۔ اہلِ کتاب اور مشرکین میں سے جنہوں نے اس ضابطے کی پیروی سے انکار کی روش اختیار کی [کفروا] وہ جہنم کی آگ کے حوالے ہوں گے جہاں وہ ہمیشہ رہیں گے۔ یہ بدترین خلائق ہیں۔ اور جو لوگ ایمان اور امن کی راہ پر چلیں گے اور نیک و اصلاحی پالیسیوں پر عمل کریں گے وہ بہترین خلائق ہوں گے۔ اُن کا اجر ان کے رب کے ہاں ہمیشہ رہنے والے باغات کی شکل میں ہوگا جن کے ساتھ نعمتوں کی فراوانیاں نہروں کی طرح رواں ہوں گی۔ وہاں وہ ہمیشہ کی زندگیاں گذاریں گے اس کیفیت میں کہ اللہ تعالیٰ اُن کے کردار و عمل سے مطمئن ہوگا اور وہ اُس کی محبت میں سرشار ہوں گے۔ یہ سب ان کا انتظار کر رہا ہے جنہوں نے اپنے پروردگار کی نافرمانی کا خوف ہمیشہ اپنے سامنے رکھا ہوگا۔ "
